I had the same impression. Most of it didn't garner much laughs except for the occasional nervous giggle.
Edit CommentYes it wasn't your average roast the president night. Much of it just didn't come across as funny, but instead a blatant attack on the president. It was almost like satire in reverse. Pretending to funny - but not really.
Edit CommentI guess Bush's photo slide show from two years ago was funnier. Remember that one? "Them WMDs gotta be somewhere !"
